Founded in 2003, SureVest Insurance Group has always been deeply committed to our community. You want to protect what matters to you, your family and your business – and we can help you make sure of it. We align with the values of Erie Insurance and their guiding philosophy to “Provide our Policyholders with as near perfect protection, as near perfect service, as is humanly possible, and to do so at the lowest possible cost.”
As a boutique independent agency, we have the advantage of working in small teams that allow us to focus on the highest quality and strongest customer service anywhere. We represent various companies, which enables us to find the very best policies and the right fit for you. We always take the time to ask questions and get to know what is important to you, your family, your business or all of the above; and we have answers for you both right now, and as your insurance needs change over time.
Our mission is to provide our customers with unsurpassed personalized service. We want to make clear and comprehensible protection a reality for you, while also forming long-term relationships necessary for the growth of our shared community.
We believe that doing good in the community is good business and we give back through our #AgentsofChange movement and Community Causes.

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. I went to Broughton High School, and graduated from North Carolina State University in 2002. I’ve seen many changes in Raleigh since then, and I love being part of a growing and thriving community.
I have 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. My first two years were spent working for my dad, then I followed in his footsteps and went into business on my own. I officially started my career in 1992.
I saw that my father was always available to clients and he always did what he said he would do. Back in those days, he met with every client and they knew he had their back in the event of a loss. My clients feel the same way; it’s important that they know they can depend on me.
I believe that equally as important as our clients are our SureVest employees. We are invested in providing opportunities for our employees to grow and impact the community. As an agency, we believe that involvement in the community is the key to our success.

I was originally born in the Dominican Republic. My family moved to the United States when I was 9 years old and I was raised in Providence, Rhode Island. Being Dominican I speak fluent Spanish, although I only speak it when I am with my family.
I do have an large extended family and I enjoy spending time with them, especially on summer holidays with the whole clan. I am a music fanatic, I love classic films, and I am an avid sports fan (especially the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Cavaliers). I also enjoy reading biographies and history books. I would not go on vacation without my Kindle.
I have been in the Insurance Industry since 2004, which is when I moved to Raleigh, NC from Washington, DC, and I am passionate about my work. Oh, and I enjoy long walks on the beach!

Although born in Greensboro, I was raised in Catawba County on Lake Norman where I learned that an active life is better on the water! My aptitude for sports led to an opportunity to play football at NC State University under Coach Dick Sheridan. Since majoring in football was not an option, I pursued a degree in Civil Engineering.
My engineering studies coupled with my analytical mindset and entrepreneurial spirit motivated me to start several successful businesses after college in real estate, financial services, and home improvement. As I worked in a variety of industries, I found my strengths and interests consistently revolved around efficient design and effective business processes. When my long-time friend, Chris Clark, contacted me in 2003 to discuss a joint business venture in insurance, I was more than ready to apply these same principles to the insurance industry. Drawing on my experience as a business owner, I immersed myself in commercial insurance. I quickly realized the existing need to connect insurance knowledge with clients’ business knowledge, build trust through understanding, and demystify this sometimes complicated product. At SureVest, I have been providing our clients with thoughtful insurance solutions ever since.
I still enjoy a healthy, athletic lifestyle when I am not in the office. In my free time you will find me working out, trying new recipes with my wife Cristy, planning our next trip to anywhere near water, or packing our two boxers, Tank and Dozer, in the truck for an outdoor adventure.
Business and Community Strategist
At SureVest my role is a vital and meaningful one. As the Business and Community Strategist, I am responsible for directing and connecting SureVest to local businesses in the community and raising our profile by elevating our involvement and contributions to the community.
We want to make a real difference where we live and impact our shared community in positive ways through our #AgentsOfChange movement and Community Causes. At SureVest we know that doing good is good business.
I am the current Board Chair at Raleigh’s Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) and also serve on the board of the Dix Park Conservancy.
For more than 20 years, my husband and I have invested in Raleigh’s Warehouse District and led the charge to bring the award–winning Contemporary Art Museum to the area in 2011. Because of our vision for CAM, we received NC State College of Design’s 2016 DesignLife Award that celebrates the role of design and the arts in improving lives in the community. The award honors a significant contribution that individuals have made to design in the southeastern United States.
I am a certified Pilates instructor, a Duke-certified Integrative Health Coach and a women’s only boot camp instructor. I wake up each day grateful for a healthy mind, fit body and happy spirit and for the love of family, friends, and community.
Senior Sales Consultant

I was born and raised in New Jersey, but have proudly called NC home since 2006. I received my BA in English and Secondary Education from Rutgers University in 2001 and later went on to get a Life Insurance designation from The American College in 2012. I began my career in the insurance industry in 2006 when I moved to NC, and have loved it ever since. With an education background, it is in my nature to always want to help educate my clients the best I can. It is my goal to review and provide a customized level of coverage to everyone while protecting the things that mean most to them. I joined the SureVest team in 2015 and although I sell both personal and commercial insurance, I focus primarily on personal lines such as auto, home, and life insurance.
I can speak 4 languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, and bit of French. I am involved in my community and love participating and advocating for local causes.
The things I enjoy most in life are my children, family, traveling, and any outdoor adventures. I can promise that at some point in time during a conversation with me, you will hear about one of my 6 kids, one of their awesome soccer or basketball games, my latest trip, or potentially our next scuba adventure! When I am not working, I will typically be spending time with our family and my weekends consist of lots of running around between soccer games and my kids’ many social activities.

Originally from Gastonia, NC, I lived in Texas for several years while in the Air Force and moved back to the Charlotte area in 1999. I have more than 10 years in the property and casualty insurance industry. Since joining SureVest Insurance Group in February of 2006, I have enjoyed problem solving, and taking over an issue for a client so they can continue managing their business day.
I am an avid sports fan; I am proud to support Duke basketball—I consider Coach K a national treasure! Some of my other hobbies include outdoor activities, going to the shooting range and reading.
I am passionate about history, especially world history, military history, and United States history. I am also passionate about volunteering; I have been volunteering at the USO at the Charlotte airport for 10 years. It’s always a good time, and taking care of my fellow veterans is always a privilege.
Commercial Account Manager

I have been in the insurance industry for over 20 years, working mainly in commercial lines. I grew up in Winston Salem, and am fluent in American Sign Language. What most excites me about my work is the satisfaction of helping someone with their insurance needs.
I personally enjoy spending time with my family, especially my kids. I can’t stop talking about them! My favorite weekends are when I am cheering them on at soccer games. I also volunteer at most tournaments, checking in teams and handing out packets. I am passionate about soccer buddies for special needs children.

I grew up like a Navy brat, born in Texas, then moved to Oklahoma when my father retired. When I was 15, I moved to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to live with my sister and her husband, who was in the Navy. Then, I moved to Virginia Beach, VA and on to Raleigh where I decided to stay. I began my insurance career right out of high school in 1979.
I love people! I enjoy helping people understand insurance and why they need to purchase insurance to protect their property and loved ones. We are all blessed each day by simply waking up. I feel we should give back as much as possible by being there to help those in need.
I love the weekends! When I am not working, I enjoy fishing, horseback riding, playing with my grandchildren, working in the yard, tending to chickens and playing with my dogs. I love to see animals taken care of and given good homes. I also volunteer at the schools that my grandchildren attend.
Personal Lines New Business Coordinator
T: 866-632-1531 x409
I grew up in Syracuse, New York, attended college in Terre Haute, Indiana and chose North Carolina for its mountain views and beautiful beaches. With 20 years of experience selling and servicing personal lines insurance from high-risk drivers to preferred clients, I enjoy helping people understand their insurance coverage, not just “selling” them a policy.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my grandson, working in the yard, and listening to music.
Personal Lines Account Manager

I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, so I bleed NC State red! Most of my free time is spent traveling through the state supporting my son in basketball tournaments. Not only do I love sports, but I have a huge love for animals and I am an advocate for Pit Bulls.
I have been in the insurance industry for over 10 years. I enjoy developing and nurturing productive client relationships. My role as an account manager is no longer just about providing information, but about helping consumers weed through information, to help identify needs and provide solutions.
Personal Lines Account Manager

I grew up in Rocky Point, NC and started in the industry in 1996; I find it to be ever changing and never dull. I enjoy educating people on their choices for insurance coverage and recommending better coverage options as needed.
When I am not working, I love watching soccer, whether it’s my son playing or a professional game. I also enjoy going to the gun range. When I am not watching sports, I like kayaking, shopping and spending time at home with my family.
Personal Lines Account Manager
T: 919-832-9420 ext. 440
My favorite part of being an Account Manager is being able to educate my clients about insurance and making sure they have the proper coverage they need. I am a New Jersey native who grew up on the Jersey Shore. The best part of growing up on the shore was being able to stroll along the beach and boardwalk all year long. I have a Bachelors degree in English and I recently obtained my MBA.
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I never intended to get into the insurance industry, but it found me over ten years ago.
New Accounts Specialist
I am the newest member of SureVest Insurance Group, specializing in property and auto risk management. I was raised in Raleigh, NC and graduated from Garner Senior High School in 2001. From there, I attended The College of Southern Idaho (2003) and Appalachian State University (2006).
My passion for people, community development and business management all play a huge part in the gratification I feel assisting clients with protecting the important things in life. I’m a sports fanatic and enjoy traveling. I’ve played basketball at the collegiate level as well as professionally. If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow it would be in Sharm El Sheikh, on my yoga mat of course.
On the weekends you can find me coaching my 4th grade church league basketball team or playing a little flag football here in Raleigh or Charlotte. I consider myself a foodie—I’m not much of a cook but I love to try all types of cuisine!
I volunteer much of my free time to youth athletics working as a tournament director for the North Carolina Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). I enjoy nurturing life skills and growth in confidence through sports in our youth.
