I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. I went to Broughton High School, and graduated from North Carolina State University in 2002. I’ve seen many changes in Raleigh since then, and I love being part of a growing and thriving community.
I have 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. My first two years were spent working for my dad, then I followed in his footsteps and went into business on my own. I officially started my career in 1992.
I saw that my father was always available to clients and he always did what he said he would do. Back in those days, he met with every client and they knew he had their back in the event of a loss. My clients feel the same way; it’s important that they know they can depend on me.
I believe that equally as important as our clients are our SureVest employees. We are invested in providing opportunities for our employees to grow and impact the community. As an agency, we believe that involvement in the community is the key to our success.

I was originally born in the Dominican Republic. My family moved to the United States when I was 9 years old and I was raised in Providence, Rhode Island. Being Dominican I speak fluent Spanish, although I only speak it when I am with my family.
I do have an large extended family and I enjoy spending time with them, especially on summer holidays with the whole clan. I am a music fanatic, I love classic films, and I am an avid sports fan (especially the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Cavaliers). I also enjoy reading biographies and history books. I would not go on vacation without my Kindle.
I have been in the Insurance Industry since 2004, which is when I moved to Raleigh, NC from Washington, DC, and I am passionate about my work. Oh, and I enjoy long walks on the beach!

Although born in Greensboro, I was raised in Catawba County on Lake Norman where I learned that an active life is better on the water! My aptitude for sports led to an opportunity to play football at NC State University under Coach Dick Sheridan. Since majoring in football was not an option, I pursued a degree in Civil Engineering.
My engineering studies coupled with my analytical mindset and entrepreneurial spirit motivated me to start several successful businesses after college in real estate, financial services, and home improvement. As I worked in a variety of industries, I found my strengths and interests consistently revolved around efficient design and effective business processes. When my long-time friend, Chris Clark, contacted me in 2003 to discuss a joint business venture in insurance, I was more than ready to apply these same principles to the insurance industry. Drawing on my experience as a business owner, I immersed myself in commercial insurance. I quickly realized the existing need to connect insurance knowledge with clients’ business knowledge, build trust through understanding, and demystify this sometimes complicated product. At SureVest, I have been providing our clients with thoughtful insurance solutions ever since.
I still enjoy a healthy, athletic lifestyle when I am not in the office. In my free time you will find me working out, trying new recipes with my wife Cristy, planning our next trip to anywhere near water, or packing our two boxers, Tank and Dozer, in the truck for an outdoor adventure.

I grew up in Syracuse, New York, attended college in Terre Haute, Indiana and chose North Carolina for its mountain views and beautiful beaches. With 20 years of experience selling and servicing personal lines insurance from high-risk drivers to preferred clients, I enjoy helping people understand their insurance coverage, not just “selling” them a policy.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my grandson, working in the yard, and listening to music.

I grew up in Rocky Point, NC and started in the industry in 1996; I find it to be ever changing and never dull. I enjoy educating people on their choices for insurance coverage and recommending better coverage options as needed.
When I am not working, I love watching soccer, whether it’s my son playing or a professional game. I also enjoy going to the gun range. When I am not watching sports, I like kayaking, shopping and spending time at home with my family.

I was born in Texas (Air Force Brat) and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. In my youth, I lived in Guam for just over 2 years and although I have forgotten most of the Chamorro language I was taught, I can still ask for a drink of water and say hello. I moved to North Carolina in 2019 to expand my knowledge and experience in the commercial insurance industry. I have an associate degree in financial accounting and have used that knowledge in the agencies I have served and my commercial clients alike. My insurance career began in 2008, and have developed a niche for the construction industry as well as HOA’s and COA’s.
In my free time, I enjoy making quilts of all sizes. Especially personalized one-of-a-kind baby quilts. My favorite books to read are history books and classical American and British literature. When I’m not doing either of these things, I can be found making delicious treats; one of my specialties is cheesecake.
I have a very competitive spirit that really comes through when I bowl, play cards, or play board games. I carry over a 150 average in bowling and my highest game to date is 232. Scrabble, anyone?
