The Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill is the only North Carolina RMHC serving all 100 counties. It serves as a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children. The Ronald McDonald House offers a place for parents to rest, do laundry, prepare meals and still be nearby the hospital. Some families are at the House for weeks and months at a time.
About 40,000 families have been served at Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill since its 1988 opening. With the addition of 24 guest rooms in 2015, even more families are being helped! Families are only asked for a $10 per night room donation, but no family is ever turned away if they cannot afford it. We are raising funds to support families in need that seek shelter at the Ronald McDonald House.
