Our agency will donate $10 in YOUR name to provide children with nutritious food during the weekends. We have joined the Backpack Buddies Inter-Faith Food Shuttle program on its mission to serve at-risk children in North Carolina and pack and distribute bags with healthy nutritious food for the weekend.
BackPack Buddies is designed to provide children from low-income households with 10-12 pounds of nutritious kid-friendly groceries for the weekend when free school lunches and breakfasts are not provided. The Food Shuttle works with each school system and individual schools to identify the need. School officials at each site then determine the students who qualify for BackPack Buddies. “We need our local children to be nurtured so they can study and be successful.”
